Our Veterinarians

Dr Tessa Jones, BVSc

Managing Vet/ Senior Veterinarian

tessa & her cat.jpg

After graduating from James Cook University in 2018, Dr Tessa moved straight home to help the pets of Brisbane. She is a general practice all-rounder and enjoys soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, managing chronic medical conditions and wildlife medicine. And now she is also taking on a new challenge, as Managing Vet of Morningside Vet!

Her favourite part of being a Vet is seeing the bond people form with their pets, and she hopes she can help enhance and prolong that bond.

At home she has a diabetic cat named Beau. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, painting and spending time in nature.

Dr Cathy Czarnuszewicz, BVSc

Our Nurses

Sarah Fardell

Team Leader/ Veterinary Nurse

Sarah fardel.jpg

Sarah joined our team at the start of 2022 but has been working in the animal industry for many years before coming to us. Before completing her vet nursing studies in 2018, Sarah worked as a zoo keeper and spent many years before that working in a cat & dog boarding kennel. Sarah completed her nursing studies in NSW, where she then spent four years working in a mixed practice country clinic. We're excited to now have her here in sunny QLD as part of the Morningside team.

Sarah has been thriving in her role as Practice Manager, bringing her experience and passion for both patient care and clinic operations to the team. She also runs our puppy pre-school, helping new pet parents set their pups up for success.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys getting crafty with various DIY projects or curling up with a good book and her two beautiful cats, Akira and Tora. She has also welcomed a new golden retriever puppy, Emi, into her family, adding even more joy to her life.

Indira (or Indi) joined our team in 2021 as a student before graduating from her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2022. Indi has since become a valuable member of the Morningside Vet team. Indi cares deeply about all of her patients and can often be found in the hospital ward cuddling the patients. Indi has an interest in surgical nursing & intensive care nursing as well as pathology. She has enjoyed developing her skills in these areas alongside our knowledgeable Vets and nurses here at Morningside Vet.

Maggie Hammond

Veterinary Nurse

Maggie graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from UQ in 2019 and since then has been working in general practice. Maggie has had a passion for helping animals as long as she can remember and has always known she wanted a career in the veterinary industry.

Maggie claims she doesn't have a preferred area of interest, she considers herself more of an all-rounder, although if she had to pick she said she would choose medicine/hospital nursing. At home Maggie has an adorable cocker spaniel named Flora and two cats - a domestic shorthair named Clancy and a Ragdoll X named Betty.

Outside of work you can find Maggie taking Flora on big walks, spending time with loved ones, reading or decorating her house.

Jake first joined our team while still in high school, running our hydrobath on weekends.

Since then, he’s come a long way—spending more time in the clinic, building his skills, and recently becoming a fully qualified veterinary nurse after completing his Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

With a strong passion for animal care, Jake has his sights set on becoming a vet in the future, and we’re excited to support him on that journey.

At home, he dotes on his beloved Cavoodle, Luna. Outside of work, he likes to stay active, whether it's playing basketball, tennis, or hitting the gym.
